This Lapis Ring is a fabulous example with excellent and genuine Lapis formed to a cabochon. It is a large stone ring but very wearable.

Lapis Lazuli (Lapis for short) has been prized throughout the ages for its intense blue color as well as its inclusions of gold. It was mined in Afghanistan as early as the 7th millennium BC and was used in the funeral mask of Tutankhamun. lapis is the Latin for stone. We are just as fond of it today.

We cut the oval to 22 x 18 mm (7/8 x 11/16 inch) so it is a medium size Lapis Ring.  It is still suitable for smaller hands and is therefore a suitable choice for a lady.
